Basal
"even a worm will turn, this worm doesn't seem to be turning though even a worm could turn. Given nice weather, and maybe a warning. "

Name: Basal worm
Birthday: September, 20th, 2020
Height: 0'4
Blood Type: Bloodless
Home: the ground
Right handed (if he had hands
Weapon: shovel

Basal is one of my favorite characters, I made him around early 2020 as a way to quickly create ideas and write them down on the page. He primarily features in one shots I have done on paper. In some of these he is a angel sent down to make sure that everything is doing right for worms. In others he is a student. In some he is a cowboy. Basal frequently finds things new to enjoy
I have made around 20 comics on flashcards featuring this guy and he is by far my more prolific character. This may be because I am lazy and he is easy to draw in my free time.

"Not interested."

Basal is considered one of the most iconic soil experts, so you might have heard of him before. Probably not though. Very few people care as much about soil as worms. If you are a worm the chances you have heard of him increase a lot.

Fun Facts!
Cloud is described as reserved, stoic, selfless, and a little cocky. He's a quiet person who tends to keep others at a distance, but he becomes the loyal leader of his group.

Basal never wears seatbelts because he is too small, this is the same reason he doesn't tend to wear clothes, or have many belongings which he enjoys. He does have a shovel and a hat but he made those to fit him.

He is the only one in his family to have a rounded head. (we think it was the milkman.)

He was made as character which I could quickly make comic ideas with.

  He's SUPER AWESOME!!!

His favorite color is yellow. If you could not tell.

Am I a pretty worm?

Meet Basal
My love of worms began when I was maybe twelve and my grandma would take me to the back of her house to go grab worms from the compost pile. Following that I began to love worms more when I developed an intrest in soil. I got really intrested in soil taxonomy and soil color. Most of the comics which feature this character are one singlar page. I had a physical series I did called "this worm loves." which was a series of one panel comics. These comics featured Basal doing various activities. Many of them had prompts like "this worm loves rollerskating." or "this worm loves soil science." I do not have any of these comics anymore because I sold all of them and did not take any photos.
I did another series of flashcard comic sketches which featured Basal as a construction worker angel in the creation of the world. These are an alternate universe where a god gives out roles to various creatures and tasks them with making sure the domain of their children will be as perfect as possible. A worm is the meekest creature but also the most intensely involved with dirt health so a worm, Basal, is tasked with managing the ground. He does things like pull the plug on the Pacific ocean, and forget to turn on gravity.
He's very normal looking for a worm, and has a round head
I think he is very enjoyable to draw I encourage people to draw him.
Family Tree

Basal doesn't have that much family at this point, but he does have some objects he likes
